Call Tracking Pricing: What 5 Vendors Publish and Exclude

PipelineOn Research Team

Four of the five call-tracking vendors in our selected sample published a numeric entry price. That did not make their offers directly comparable. Billing terms, included usage and the need for a sales quote changed what a contractor could learn from the pricing page.

We checked CallRail, WhatConverts, CTM, Invoca and Convirza on October 2, 2026. Before comparing costs, ask each vendor to quote the same numbers, minutes and features.

PipelineOn sells website visitor identification software. This is an original desk audit of public pricing pages, not a hands-on product test, a customer survey or a call-tracking product announcement.

What we found

Four vendors showed an entry monthly subscription amount. Invoca directed buyers toward a quote. A published amount made the starting point visible, but it did not establish the cost for a particular number of locations or minutes.

Two pages initially showed annual-billing rates in our browser session. CallRail displayed $50 a month before switching to $55 on monthly billing. CTM displayed $65 a month before switching to $79 on monthly billing.

The allowances differed. CallRail listed included numbers and minutes, WhatConverts included a usage credit, and CTM and Convirza separated usage from their entry subscription. Comparing the largest printed number on each page would miss those differences.

The five pricing pages

Amounts below are USD and refer to the entry call-tracking offer we observed. The monthly column uses monthly billing where a billing switch was available.

Vendor and observed entry offerMonthly subscriptionDetail to carry into the quote
CallRail Lead Tracking$55Five numbers and 250 minutes included; additional usage costs extra
WhatConverts Call Tracking$30Includes a $30 usage credit; confirm the scope needed for other lead types
CTM Marketing Lite$79Usage is additional; the annual-billing display was $65 a month
InvocaRequest a quoteGet the proposed plan, allowance and term in writing
Convirza Starter$29Numbers and minutes are additional; the page listed $3 per number and $0.08 per minute

These are observations from the check date, not guaranteed current quotes. Promotions, taxes, optional features and your actual usage can change the bill.

Why we did not publish a cheapest-vendor ranking

A base fee is only one part of the calculation. You also need the number of tracking numbers, call volume, routing requirements, integrations and any implementation work.

A usage credit is not the same thing as a fixed allowance of minutes and numbers. Nor does a quote-only product reveal enough information to place it at the expensive end of a table.

We did not request private quotes or invent missing charges. Without equivalent scope, a single total would imply a comparison the public pages do not support.

Send every vendor the same brief

Use a concrete planning scenario, such as ten local tracking numbers and 1,000 minutes a month. That is an example specification, not a recommended account size.

Add the number of locations, users, required integrations and routing rules. State whether you need recordings, text messages, transcription or other features so a vendor can identify the relevant plan.

Ask for these five answers:

  1. The subscription and whether the displayed rate requires annual billing.
  2. Included usage and the price of the example volume.
  3. Setup, support and integration charges outside that subtotal.
  4. Ownership and portability of numbers, recordings and lead records.
  5. The contract term, renewal conditions and steps required to leave.

Put the responses into the free vendor comparison worksheet. It calculates a first-year subtotal while keeping unanswered requirements visible.

How we checked the pages

We selected the five vendors covered by our home-service call-tracking guide. This is a defined editorial sample, not a representative survey of every provider.

We reviewed their official public pricing pages and recorded the entry offer, billing basis and stated usage treatment. For CallRail and CTM, we changed the billing switch in the browser to distinguish monthly billing from the initially displayed annual rate.

We did not test call quality, support, attribution accuracy or job-system integrations. Use the guide to build a shortlist, then verify those requirements in a demo and written proposal.

Take the comparison through to completed work

After purchase, keep the tracking bill alongside the channel costs it helps measure. Count unique leads consistently and connect them to bookings and completed jobs.

The cost per booked job calculator shows what you paid for each booking and each completed job. A lower tracking subscription is useful, but it is not proof that the underlying marketing became more profitable.
