HYROS vs PipelineOn for Home Service Businesses
HYROS bundles several jobs: capturing marketing touches, matching journeys, assigning conversion credit and feeding outcomes back to advertising platforms. PipelineOn now offers an open-source foundation for campaign capture, linked outcomes, touch attribution and Meta delivery. You can self-host the open-source software; PipelineOn-hosted is planned at around $20/month, with final price, usage and availability to be confirmed.
For a home-service business, separate the purchase into the parts you need. A contractor may need a reliable inquiry-to-payment connection before it needs a broader optimization platform. Another may require customer matching and measurement across many channels that exceed a focused first-release software.
PipelineOn publishes this comparison and has a commercial interest. Vendor descriptions and the software’s implementation scope were reviewed on October 14, 2026. The public software download and hosted availability are described in the open-source overview. We have not run a comparative performance benchmark.

Break HYROS into its different parts
HYROS’s product overview describes collection, matching, attribution, conversion feedback and broader capabilities. Server-side transport is an important foundation, while source linkage and reporting determine what a business can learn from it.
| Part of the workflow | Contractor question | PipelineOn open source scope |
|---|---|---|
| Source collection | What campaign and landing page brought the visit? | Allowlisted campaign/click capture with a session reference |
| Outcome connection | Did the inquiry become a booking or payment? | Normalized outcomes supplied through an authenticated API |
| Attribution | Which recorded touch receives credit under our rule? | First touch, last touch and last non-direct touch for linked outcomes |
| Conversion feedback | Did Meta receive the eligible business event? | Optional Meta sender with durable retries and receipts |
| Customer matching and optimization | Can we link other devices and operate broader ad decisions? | Evaluate separately; the software does not provide a cross-device identity graph or AI Swarm parity |
This breakdown helps you compare a full platform with the foundation your business actually needs. An API request, a linked source report and a Meta receipt each establish different evidence.
What can you run yourself with PipelineOn?
The open-source software runs independently without a PipelineOn account. Install its collector, preserve the accepted session reference with the inquiry, and send mapped form, call, booking and payment facts from your source system.
Your backend, CRM HTTP workflow or an automation tool can provide the connection. A generic API route is included; native CRM logins are not bundled. Raw provider payloads require verification and mapping. Phone numbers or similar timestamps alone do not establish a browser-session link.
Reports use the recorded journey and disclose unlinked or bounded evidence. Eligible conversions can be explicitly queued for Meta using permissioned customer-provided matching information. Temporary delivery failures retry with the same conversion identity and payload, and the operator can inspect receipts.
The first release is one website and one application process with persistent local storage. It does not provide tracking phone numbers, anonymous homeowner identification, Google/TikTok senders or automated ad management. Read the deployment scope before choosing it for a multi-client agency.
What does PipelineOn add outside the free software?
PipelineOn’s homeowner visitor identification helps a home-service team investigate website interest beyond completed forms. Identification, enrichment and follow-up are separate paid services from the open-source attribution software.
For a roofer, someone researching replacement and financing may represent a relevant opportunity. That visitor evidence still needs a supported link to a later inquiry or payment before the team calls it attributed revenue. Externally supplied identity is also distinct from information the homeowner directly provided for an advertising conversion.
PipelineOn-hosted is planned at around $20/month; final pricing, included usage and availability are still being finalized. The cost guide separates those costs from software and optional business services.
Compare free software, hosting and the broader platform
The software licence is $0 under MIT. Running it requires suitable infrastructure, secure configuration, backups and an operator. Existing infrastructure may reduce additional cash cost, but it does not remove maintenance responsibility.
HYROS describes revenue-based pricing in its product overview. Request a current quote for your required features and integrations. Compare the scope of that quote with the work you would perform yourself, rather than assuming a free application reproduces the entire service.
If you mainly need a server GTM host, compare Stape, TAGGRS and Addingwell. Those choices address a different infrastructure requirement from running the software’s application. The ten-option shortlist puts the market into one view.
Test a contractor journey before choosing
Bring a paid visit, a direct return, a qualified call, a canceled booking and a later payment. Ask the presenter to show the source, linking evidence, attribution rule and final record for each scenario. Keep unknown and unlinked steps visible.
For an illustrative HVAC installation, a deposit and a remaining balance must reconcile with actual receipts. A won deal value is not automatically collected revenue. Choose one authoritative payment source so two systems do not import the same transaction as separate facts.
Then test outbound delivery. Repeat an import and introduce a temporary failure. Inspect the stable event ID, retained attempt history and destination evidence. If the browser Pixel also sends the same action, coordinate event names and IDs across both paths.
The Meta implementation guide and offline conversion guide explain those checks. An accepted Meta receipt does not establish person matching, ad attribution or improved performance.
Which should you choose?
Evaluate HYROS when the requirement includes its broader attribution, customer matching and measurement capabilities, and require a demonstration with your actual phone and CRM stack.
Evaluate PipelineOn open source when you want control of a focused source-to-outcome foundation, have a technical operator and accept the first-release scope. Ask about planned managed hosting when you want PipelineOn to operate that application. Consider the separate visitor-identification service when recovering value from unidentified homeowner traffic is also part of your plan.
Use the expanded HYROS alternatives shortlist and the first-party data strategy to decide which parts belong in your setup. Discuss the software and hosted release with your team.
