9 HYROS Alternatives for Home Service Businesses

(updated ) PipelineOn Research Team
Blog

The right HYROS alternative depends on the gap in your home-service marketing. PipelineOn offers open-source attribution and Meta-delivery software alongside its separate homeowner visitor-identification service. Stape, TAGGRS, Addingwell and Cloudflare Zaraz offer other server-side architectures. CallRail is a candidate when calls drive the business. WhatConverts combines lead tracking and qualification. CustomerLabs markets first-party data activation and booked-job feedback. Triple Whale serves commerce teams that need broader measurement and analytics.

These products are not interchangeable. A roofing company trying to recover interested visitors has a different buying problem from an HVAC group reconciling several advertising accounts with completed installations. Use this shortlist to find the right type of tool before comparing subscriptions.

Disclosure: PipelineOn publishes this guide and is included in the comparison. The original five-vendor shortlist was reviewed on October 13, 2026; server-side options, software scope and cited prices were added on October 14, 2026. This is a workflow-based shortlist, not a hands-on performance ranking.

1. PipelineOn: choose a free attribution foundation or separate identification

PipelineOn open source combines source capture, mapped outcomes, first/last/non-direct attribution and optional Meta delivery. The open-source software is free to run yourself; infrastructure and operating costs are separate. PipelineOn-hosted is planned at around $20/month; final pricing, included usage and availability are still being finalized.

Your integration carries the accepted session reference from the inquiry to later bookings and payments. It supplies permissioned matching fields for Meta. The software retains delivery attempts and receipts, but does not bundle native CRM logins, phone numbers or anonymous identity resolution.

The separate homeowner visitor-identification service can help investigate relevant site interest. Use the HYROS comparison to decide which capabilities you need before buying them together.

2. CallRail: investigate where phone inquiries come from

CallRail documents a Meta Ads Manager integration and reporting against campaigns, ads, and ad sets. That makes it a relevant candidate for contractors whose buyers prefer calling to completing a form.

Your evaluation should follow the call past the ringing phone. Can staff mark a wrong number, existing customer, out-of-area request, or viable replacement inquiry? Does the record retain its source when it enters the CRM? A report with more calls can still hide a weak campaign if the calls rarely become estimates.

Ask the vendor to demonstrate the current Meta integration and supported event types. Do not assume an older integration article describes the exact configuration sold today.

3. WhatConverts: qualify leads before judging campaigns

WhatConverts presents calls, forms, and chats alongside lead qualification, values, and reporting. It also publishes a JobNimbus integration update covering appointments, estimates, jobs, and revenue.

For a roofing agency, the useful test is whether the same lead remains traceable from inquiry to estimate to won job. Use the real CRM and a representative sales cycle in the demo. A named integration is a starting point; field mapping, plan access, and your team’s stage definitions determine the result.

4. CustomerLabs: evaluate the conversion-feedback workflow

CustomerLabs’ home-services offer centers on lead tracking and booked-job attribution. It belongs on the shortlist when the main objective is moving meaningful first-party events into advertising systems.

Bring an event map to the conversation: submitted inquiry, qualified lead, confirmed appointment, and a consistently defined revenue event. Ask which system supplies each record and how the integration handles missing identifiers, duplicate submissions, and failed deliveries. Our Facebook conversion-tracking guide explains that map.

5. Triple Whale: consider it when commerce matters

Triple Whale’s current plan documentation describes attribution, analytics, first-party activation, and AI capabilities. Its commerce orientation may be useful for a business selling products online alongside services.

For a contractor selling estimates and installations, ask how calls, service appointments, partial payments, and cancellations enter its data model. Ecommerce positioning does not mean non-store integrations are impossible: Triple Whale also documents a custom sales platform API. Read HYROS versus Triple Whale for home services before treating either as a default.

6. Stape: keep a server GTM setup

Stape offers server GTM hosting and separate gateways. Its server GTM price page lists Pro at US$20/month billed monthly for up to 500,000 requests, with a smaller free plan. Source integrations and the selected product determine the finished workflow.

Read Stape versus PipelineOn when choosing between hosting a container and running an outcome application.

7. TAGGRS: evaluate hosting and tracking tools

TAGGRS is another server GTM candidate. Its pricing page displayed Basic at €25/month with EUR monthly billing for 750,000 requests during our October 14 review; a smaller recurring free allowance is available.

The TAGGRS comparison covers account boundaries and an inquiry-to-payment test for agencies.

8. Addingwell: inspect the debugging and plan scope

Addingwell provides a server GTM platform. Its main pricing table lists €90/month for one million requests and a free 100,000-request option. Confirm add-ons and a written quote because its simulator includes differing figures.

Use Addingwell versus PipelineOn to test the source handoff and destination recovery alongside hosting.

9. Cloudflare Zaraz: consider an edge architecture

Zaraz is a Cloudflare event/tool service rather than a server GTM host. Its pricing documentation lists one million free events per account monthly, with paid usage at US$5 per additional million.

The Zaraz comparison explains what still needs mapping for later CRM outcomes. An edge event route does not by itself provide a job attribution model.

When should you keep HYROS on the shortlist?

HYROS markets attribution for complex sales journeys, including phone-led funnels. A contractor with substantial multi-channel spend and a reliable CRM may reasonably evaluate it. The case for switching should be a demonstrated workflow improvement, manageable implementation, and an appropriate total cost, not simply a different dashboard.

Request a comparison using the same sample of leads and jobs. Include an unconverted lead, a repeat caller, an appointment that cancels, and a job paid weeks after the inquiry. Establish which records remain unmatched rather than silently assigning them to a campaign.

Choose your next step

Use the home-service attribution software scorecard to run a consistent evaluation. If your data is still scattered across forms and dispatch software, start with the first-party data plan. For the expanded market and cost basis, use ten server-side tracking options, seven Stape alternatives and the tracking cost guide. Review the required workflow with PipelineOn.
