10 Server-Side Tracking Options for Home Services
The best server-side tracking option for a home-service business depends on which part of the journey is missing. Some teams need hosting for server GTM. Others need a mapped CRM-to-Meta connection, an attribution application or a broader measurement platform. Compare those requirements before comparing monthly prices.
This shortlist includes free software, usage-based infrastructure, managed hosts and larger attribution products. It deliberately shows where each route needs additional implementation rather than treating them as identical replacements.
Method and disclosure: PipelineOn publishes this guide and includes its own software and planned hosted offer. We reviewed official documentation and pricing on October 14, 2026. This is a fit-based shortlist; we have not assigned performance scores or measured lift.

Sources for the table: Stape, TAGGRS, Addingwell, Zaraz, Google, CustomerLabs, HYROS and Triple Whale. Currency, billing cadence and usage units differ. Confirm the quote and current limits before purchasing. Addingwell’s simulator differs from some main-table figures, which warrants direct confirmation.
1. PipelineOn self-hosted: run the open source
The open-source software combines campaign capture, normalized outcomes, supported touch attribution and optional Meta delivery. It runs without a PipelineOn account. You operate the service and supply the CRM or backend bridge.
For a roofer with technical support, that can mean keeping the visit reference with the inquiry, importing a booking and recording a completed payment. The first release is one site and one process; it does not include anonymous homeowner identification or native CRM logins.
2. PipelineOn-hosted: let us host it
PipelineOn-hosted is the planned option for teams that want us to host the same open-source software. The planned price is around $20/month; final price, usage, support and availability are still being finalized. Ask about hosted access for the current details.
Choose between self-hosted and PipelineOn-hosted according to who should run the service. Your website and CRM outcomes still need a mapped connection.
3. Stape: retain a server GTM architecture
Stape is relevant when an agency already has a server GTM event design and wants managed infrastructure and related tools. It also offers separate gateways, so specify which product you are evaluating.
For an HVAC account, test the actual inquiry-to-payment path and the destination configuration. The Stape comparison explains the difference between hosting a tagging container and running an attribution application.
4. TAGGRS: evaluate hosting and tracking tools
TAGGRS is another candidate for a team keeping server GTM. Record the selected currency and billing setting when comparing its plans, and confirm the account and domain boundaries for a multi-client agency.
Your team still needs the business event definitions and CRM handoff. See TAGGRS versus PipelineOn for a multi-location contractor evaluation.
5. Addingwell: inspect debugging and the full plan
Addingwell belongs on a server GTM shortlist when the team wants hosting and debugging tools. Ask for the plan plus any extra containers, domains, regions and request charges.
A plumbing agency should test source records and destination failures as well as tag preview. The Addingwell comparison provides a concrete acceptance workflow.
6. Cloudflare Zaraz: consider an edge service
Zaraz configures tools and event actions through Cloudflare. It offers a different architecture from hosting a GTM server container. Its HTTP Events API can accept mapped server-origin events, but the business source and reporting model still need design.
Compare Zaraz and PipelineOn when your website already uses Cloudflare and the supported tools fit your destinations.
7. Google Cloud Run: operate the cloud setup yourself
Google documents provisioning server GTM on Cloud Run. Its cost example applies to a particular configuration, and it recommends at least two instances for resilience. It is not a universal $45 all-in monthly quote.
This route gives a technical team control of its cloud deployment. Budget for configuration, logs, scaling, updates and the actual destination tags. Owning a cloud account also differs from receiving a fully open-source attribution application.
8. CustomerLabs: evaluate first-party event activation
CustomerLabs’ home-services page discusses lead and booked-job workflows. It is relevant when a team wants broader collection and activation capabilities rather than simply a place to run a container.
Bring your stage definitions to the demo. Check which events the source integration supports, how usage units are counted and what evidence is available for failed delivery.
9. HYROS: assess the broader attribution purchase
HYROS combines more than server transport. Evaluate the customer matching, touch reporting, integrations and conversion feedback you actually need. A contractor with several advertising channels may have a broader requirement than a low-cost Meta sender can satisfy.
Use HYROS alternatives for home services and HYROS versus PipelineOn to separate the purchase into useful parts.
10. Triple Whale: test the commerce assumptions
Triple Whale’s current offer includes a free tier and broader paid measurement and AI capabilities. A service business should test calls, bookings, deposits and partial payments against its intended data model, even when a custom integration is possible.
The HYROS versus Triple Whale guide provides contractor-specific questions. Avoid assuming a free plan includes every paid activation or reporting feature.
Choose with one real journey and one complete budget
Write down a tagged visit, an accepted inquiry, a qualified stage, a booking and a payment. Identify the source system and owner for each handoff. Ask each shortlisted provider to demonstrate that same journey, including one replay and one delivery failure.
Then compare the total tracking cost and the first-party data foundation. If you already know you want to keep GTM, use the narrower Stape alternatives guide to focus the decision.
