Website visitors + CRM history
Identify existing customers visiting your website.
Someone browsing your service pages might already know your team. They could be a current customer, last year’s customer, or a lead you quoted six weeks ago. That history changes the next conversation.

How PipelineOn fits
To recognize an existing customer on your website, connect an identified visit to the contact or household in your CRM, then check the customer status. PipelineOn brings those pieces together for matched visitors through supported CRM connections. A CRM record alone does not identify every visit.
How to see which customers are visiting
The useful connection is between today’s browsing and the relationship your team has already built. Set up both sides before deciding what a visit means.
Record eligible website activity
Install PipelineOn on your website. Available matches depend on traffic, identity coverage, and your site’s privacy settings.
Connect your CRM
Authorize a supported connection and choose the fields or stages that define current customers, past customers, and other contacts.
Review the match and the history
Check the available visit history alongside the CRM match. A person match, a household match, and a nearby customer are different kinds of context.
Choose the right next step
Route a current customer to the team handling their account. Review past customers for reactivation and old leads for an appropriate sales follow-up.
Five visits that deserve different follow-up
| What you find | What to check next |
|---|---|
| Current customer | An open job, service request, renewal, or additional service need. |
| Past customer | Last completed work, current address, and whether the relationship is suitable for reactivation. |
| Old estimate | Quote status, validity, scope, and whether work was booked elsewhere. |
| Previous lead | The original inquiry, attempts to reach them, and any recorded appointment or outcome. |
| Household near a customer | The actual property, service area, and whether the nearby work makes follow-up useful. |
A returning browser is only part of the answer
A repeat visit tells you that a browser came back. A CRM match adds the relationship. An address match can connect the visit to a household even when the CRM contact is another household member; it should not be presented as proof of exactly who was browsing.
Customer labels also depend on your CRM setup. A contact who does not match a current-customer rule may be a lead, a past customer, or a record that needs cleaning up. Review that status before treating the person as a new sales opportunity.
Returning visitor tracking versus CRM customer matching
For a home service business, the useful question is whether the visit belongs to someone your team already serves. These three kinds of information answer different questions.
| Information | Question it helps answer |
|---|---|
| Returning browser activity | Has this browser visited before? It does not establish customer status. |
| Eligible visitor identification | Can this visit be associated with a person or household? Check the match details. |
| CRM customer matching | Does that identified person or household have a current, past, or other relationship with the business? |
Start with the CRM your team uses
HubSpot and Jobber connections support customer classification using the fields and records available in your account. Connect the website, confirm the classification rules, and review a matched visitor before expanding the workflow across the team.
Common questions
Can I see every customer who visits my website?
No. Identification and CRM matching cover eligible, matched visits. An unmatched visit stays unknown, and a matched household does not always establish the individual browsing.
Does the customer have to fill out another form?
An eligible PipelineOn identity match can be connected to a CRM record without a new form submission on that visit. Coverage varies, and the visitor still has to be matched.
Will a returning customer automatically receive sales outreach?
Customer recognition and outreach are separate controls. Review your current- and past-customer settings before enabling follow-up, and keep existing service conversations with the appropriate team.
