Scorpion vs Hook Agency: Scope, Pricing and Fit

PipelineOn Research Team

Hook Agency publishes starting prices for individual services. At our October 2, 2026 review, its website listed local SEO from $2,800 per month and PPC from $2,000 per month, with scope and ad-spend qualifications.

Those are starting service prices. Do not compare either number with a full Scorpion proposal containing a website, media and additional products.

What are you hiring each agency to do?

Scorpion describes a combined home-service offering spanning website development, SEO, digital advertising and intake technology. Hook’s site lists local SEO, paid advertising and website services.

Request the same work from both. If one quote includes replacing your website and the other assumes your existing site is ready, the monthly totals do not answer the same question.

Use Hook’s public prices as a scope check

A starting price helps you ask a better question; it does not settle the total bill. Ask Hook which services your company needs and which published starting figures apply.

Request a line for ad spend separately from management. Do the same for site construction, ongoing changes and any additional locations.

Ask Scorpion for an equally clear breakdown. If a package is bundled, ask which deliverables and limits the bundle includes, then compare it with the complete Hook scope.

Test the agency’s explanation of a bad month

Give both teams this scenario: inquiries rose, completed replacement jobs fell and the install crew has spare capacity. Ask what they would inspect before increasing the budget.

A useful answer should distinguish service calls from replacement inquiries, identify the lead sources involved and check the booking and sales process. Ask who would make each change.

You are assessing diagnosis and ownership. A promise to generate more leads does not explain how the team would fix that particular month.

Request a sample report with customer details removed. Check that it contains the information needed to make the decisions the team just described.

Check the website handover before approving a rebuild

Ask for an inventory of your current high-value pages, tracking scripts, forms and phone numbers. Have the proposed team explain what moves to the new site and how it will test the result.

Confirm who controls the domain and ad accounts. Request the process for exporting content and transferring assets if you leave.

Do not assume either provider’s ownership or cancellation terms. The agreement you sign needs to answer those questions.

Choose the scope you can manage

Shortlist Hook when you want to evaluate its separately described search and website services. Its public service prices give you an initial reference for a properly scoped quote.

Shortlist Scorpion when you want to evaluate a broader package that includes marketing and intake technology. Confirm exactly which parts your team will use and who will operate them.

If you have no internal person to manage either relationship, review fractional CMO vs marketing agency. The marketing-stack comparison hub shows where an agency fits alongside reporting and visitor follow-up.
